X (formerly Twitter) serves video content dynamically via HTTP Live Streaming (m3u8 manifests) to adapt to shifting mobile network bandwidths. VdZip inspects public tweet status objects, locates the highest available master playlist bitrate, and returns direct MP4 video files.
Animated GIFs uploaded to X are technically encoded as looping MP4 files to conserve bandwidth. VdZip extracts these files in their native MP4 structure, maintaining smooth framerate and minimal file footprint.
Accepted URL Syntax on X and Twitter
Both legacy twitter.com status links and modern x.com URLs are fully supported. Examples include x.com/[user]/status/[tweet_id] as well as mobile sharing links generated through the native iOS and Android X applications.
If a post contains multiple media attachments or quote-tweet references, VdZip prioritizes the primary video attachment in the parent post.

Tweets published by protected accounts (designated with a padlock) or content requiring adult-content age confirmation gates cannot be parsed by our public edge nodes. Only publicly viewable posts are accessible.
